Cast your cares on Him

“Cast your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”
1 Peter 5:7 (Verse on Bible Hub)

SCRIPTURES ON CASTING YOUR CARE

I live on a dirt road that has seen many years.

And each year, I dislike driving on this road more and more. If a person doesn’t drive carefully, the potholes will eat them up with no mercy. There’s no favoritism. They love any vehicle.

Cast your anxiety on Him

The worst time of year for me is the winter. There is no set day for the plow to come and sometimes it’s a few days before it does. When that happens, everyone chooses to drive down the middle of the road which results in one set of tracks. The same thing happens when it’s very slushy.

I live here in Western Montana. Just between you and me, it would be alright with me if the snow didn’t come back.

The snow itself, I love.

It’s beautiful! It sure would be convenient if it snowed everywhere except the roads though.😉

A couple of years ago, before the snow had all melted, my car and I had a major battle with the slush. It was throwing us all over the road. I was holding onto the steering wheel with all the strength I had. I asked God to keep all oncoming vehicles away while I plowed down the one set of tracks. Otherwise I’d be stuck or thrown into the ditch while moving over into my own lane.

Talk about anxiety!! I was full of it!

Even just knowing I had to drive this road left me full of anxiety.

I kept praying the plow would come so I wouldn’t have to fight the ‘hard-to-get-along-with’ road. For three days in a row, I prayed God would make someone come plow. On the third day, God reminded me that He can take care of me even on the worst slushy day ever. So I didn’t need to beg for the plow to come. I just needed to trust Him all the way through the slush. I could cast the anxiety of it all onto Him because He cares for me. He also reminded me that I have never been stranded by the roadside.

Cast your anxiety on Him

Anxiety! Who needs it, right? Many fight the anxiety that can come as they struggle to meet deadlines, getting children to and from school, etc …

All this anxiety can lead to frustration and cause a loss of joy.

Philippians 4:6-8 tells us toBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

There are different ways we can cast our anxiety on the Lord. Gratefulness will flow into every part of our lives and I can’t help but wonder if in the midst of our hurrying, if we reached out to someone, it might alleviate some, most, or maybe all of their anxiety.

I’d like to encourage you to cast your anxiety on the Lord. And reach out in love to someone this week. Enjoy the Scriptures on casting your care below. These 10 Bible verses will help you to replace your worry with His peace. God bless you …💗

With much love,

This is definitely an area I need to turn over to God and have more faith. Thank you for being so transparent. Blessings, Joni

    1. I completely understand! I use to be terrified of riding or driving beside bodies of water. God has set me free from that one. I still have an issue with backing up, though. Whenever I’m riding with someone and they have to back up, especially if there is an edge of any size, I cringe. I have no idea why either, but I’m believing God will set me free from it just like He did the water fear. I’ll keep you in my prayers, Joni. ❤

Isn’t God gracious to give us these reminders, like this post, just when we need Him?! Blessings! 💗

    1. That’s really funny! The good ole wash boards … not great for vehicles or brains. LOL I find they are easier to deal with if you drive faster instead of slower when driving over them. 🙂 Thank you, Teresa! Yes, I love it when God gives us reminders! He is so good!❤
