Be still and know that I am God …
Psalm 46:10 ❤ (Verse on Bible Hub)

God always wins!

Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God” is a well known and loved bible verse. I even have a wooden plaque with this verse etched into it. I keep in my room to remind me that the battle belongs to the Lord.

In the Strong’s Concordance, the wordstill is Raphah, which means to sink down, let drop, relax, withdraw.

I love the definition of the word ‘know.’ The imagery is so real to me.

Know
verb
(1) be aware of through observation, inquiry, or information.
(2) have developed a relationship with (someone) through meeting and spending time with them; be familiar or friendly with.

It’s taken quite some time, but I can honestly say I know my God.

Because I do spend time with Him, I have a relationship with God. And the more time I spend with him, the more familiar He becomes to me.

The idea that we can even develop this close relationship with God is too awesome to describe. When I don’t put God first, my thoughts and emotions supersede the common sense and wisdom He has given me. That is also when the never ending questions and worry enter in.

I’m not sure why I see this particular scenario, but when I’m in a situation that overwhelms me, I imagine myself crouching down behind some bushes, (I laugh a little at this myself) out of sight, all the while watching and knowing not only will God fight the battle, He will win. And this gives me the strength I need to go on.

God always wins! 💗

With all the things happening around the world right now, I have been very concerned for my Country, its economy and also the world as a whole.

This past week while I was praying, God brought the rest of Psalm 46:10 to my attention. It says, “… I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted among the earth.”

I’m not sure why I never noticed this part of the verse before. The power wrapped in it is so mind boggling and yet gives me a sense of complete relief.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, ‘exalt’ means to raise in rank, power, or character and to elevate by praise or in estimation: Glorify.

When God opened my eyes, it brought complete reassurance not only does He have this, He will indeed be exalted among the nations (all of them) and the whole earth. God is the God of the universe and Jesus is the King of Kings. Nothing will overcome that truth. Oh, many things will try, but, thank you, Jesus, they will not prevail!!

God always wins! 💗

Thank You so much, God … You are God and I am not!

Here are some scriptures God has given me to help keep my eyes focused on the truth.

Romans 14:11 (Verse on Bible Hub)
It is written: “As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before Me; every tongue will acknowledge God.”

The truth of this verse fills me with hope for those of us who believe and also with sadness for unbelievers. It keeps me interceding for the lost.

1 John 5:4 (Verse on Bible Hub)
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world.
And this is the victory that has overcome the world–our faith.

Incredible! Our faith is more powerful than we realize sometimes.

John 14:27 (Verse on Bible Hub)
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the
world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)
For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven,
with a loud command, with the voice of
the Archangel and with the trumpet call of God,
and the dead in Christ will rise first.
After that, we who are still alive and are left
will be caught up together with them in the
clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we
will be with the Lord forever.

Thank you, Jesus! Thank you, Jesus! Won’t this be a glorious, glorious day?

This is why we keep our eyes focused on Jesus, our heads heads held high, and continue forward despite the hardships that come our way.

God always wins!💗

God bless you …
