Purpose

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I set you apart …” Jer 1:5 ❤ (Verse on Bible Hub)

Have you ever wondered what your purpose in life is?

Why you were born? Why do you even exist?

Maybe you’re successful. You have a great job, one you love to go to each day.

Purpose

Or maybe it’s not a great job but it’s one that allows you to have financial freedom. You don’t lay awake at night wondering how you’re going to pay your bills and you can enjoy many extra curricular activities.

You have a wonderful family that you love and cherish very much. Are they perfect? No. There are no perfect people, but you have the ones you love to wake up with each morning and spend good quality time with.

You live in your dream home. A home you can call your own. A home that puts a smile on your face and warmth in your heart. YOUR home.

You have an awesome personality and people are automatically drawn to you.

But even with all or some of this going on, do you still feel an emptiness inside?

The question is … what is all this for?

Most of the time that thought can be pushed down deep inside and forgotten, but it always comes back up. Each time a little stronger until it can’t be ignored anymore. And it leaves you feeling all alone.

  • God wants you to know that you are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
  • You were created by Him. (John 1:3)
  • He knows you. (Psalm 139:1)
  • He Himself knit you together in your mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13)
  • All the days ordained for you were written in His book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:16)
  • He even knows how many hairs are on your head. (Luke 12:7)

That’s how much He loves you!

He created you with a purpose in mind. Not to just flounder about and exist.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jer 29:11

We will never understand everything about God, but without His help, we can’t understand anything about Him …

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! Ps 139:6

Our Purpose in Life …

Purpose

Every life was created by God and He desires for us to know Him the way He knows us. He wants a relationship with us and for us to experience the love He has for us and therefore be able to love Him back. You are more than what you do or what you own. Just your very existence means everything to Him.

If you haven’t experienced this fulfillment of God, you can. You can ask Jesus to come into your heart and be the lord of your life even now. You can say this prayer and Jesus will come into your heart and lead and guide you from now on. He’s absolutely wonderful!

“Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and turn from doing things my own way. I surrender my heart to You and ask You to be my Lord and Savior. I believe that You died for me on the cross so I can live with You forever in Heaven. Please forgive me, Lord. And I receive Your forgiveness Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”

If you prayed this prayer, let us know here, so we can pray for you and rejoice with you!

Maybe you’ve had a relationship with God and walked away from it, but you’re ready to come back. He is ready with arms open wide to welcome you back into a relationship with Him.

  1. I love the statement “We don’t understand everything about God, but without Him we can’t understand anything about Him.”. This is so true. In school, if we didn’t understand a subject, we had to do more research, read or do practice problems to understand the work better. We also must do the same in order to understand the character of our Creator.

    1. Thank you Brandi! I find such freedom in knowing I can do nothing apart from God. It’s ALL because of Him. It helps me to let go when I’m struggling to not let go.
When it comes to understanding our Creator, we can’t cheat, can we? Like you said, we have to keep doing research and studying.💗
