BIBLE VERSES TO PRAY FOR HEALING IN OUR NATION

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and
renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10 ❤ (Verse on Bible Hub)

Covid 19, Prayer

God has been guiding me with Bible Verses to pray for healing in our Nation. My heart is broken because we are supposed to be one nation under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

But even in this unprecedented time, there are still those who can’t seem to grasp and honor the preciousness of His gift of life.

And we are still divided.

Even while many are fighting for their lives, we are still witnessing the horrific sin of racism, animosity between political parties, people fighting on social media because they think they know better than others how to run things in our Country. Angry pro-choicers are defending their rights to continue to have abortions even during this extremely sad period in our history.

Rights have become more important than human life …

Health Care Worker, Covid 19, Prayers

Anger and helplessness has been welling up inside of me because of the fighting and social injustice.

I know there is much beauty and good to be found right now.

But when people complain about their rights being taken away while so many thousands are dying all around them, well I’m just not sure what to think anymore. I need help with my attitude because I can’t pray boldly when I have anger in my heart.

GOD LOOKS AT THE HEART

This morning on my walk, the Lord checked my heart and strengthened me. He reminded me I can’t boldly speak peace to the storm when the storm has found its way inside of me. And I can’t declare hope over our dying world when my heart is fainting within me.

Covid 19, Prayers

He has taught me to pray His Word so I never have to wonder what His will is or if He heard my prayers. But Jesus reminded me again this morning that I need to yield to His Word before I can boldly wield His Word.

Anyone else needing this today?

We truly have no idea when this pandemic will end or how things will turn out. I am saddened to see all the hateful opinions flying around on social media, especially when they are posted by Christians.

As Christians, we are sinners saved by His Grace. Period. Please, especially during this crisis, can we remember this truth and be kind? Let’s return to our first Love. (Rev 2:4) Jesus said in John 13:35 that all people will know we are His Disciples if we love one another.

Please, will you join me in getting quiet before the Lord right now?

The healing we are seeking for our Country will not begin at the Whitehouse. It begins with the person looking back at us in the mirror. Humility is sweet and freeing, my friend. Take my hand and let’s pray …

Bible Verses to Pray for Healing in our Nation

Let’s pray for God’s will to be done in our Nation. Jesus taught us to pray by first acknowledging our sovereign, all powerful Father in Heaven. This helps to put our needs in proper perspective so they don’t consume us. Father God, Your Kingdom come and Your will be done today, on earth as it is in Heaven. May Your Spirit be the only consuming fire in our lives.

“Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name, Your Kingdom
come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.”
Matthew 6:9-10 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Let’s pray we will genuinely come together as Believers. With one mind, one heart, one spirit, one hope, one purpose. In complete unity with Jesus and one another, let us cast out the spirit of division that is trying to operate among us.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make
every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. There is one
body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called.”
Ephesians 4:2-4 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Let’s pray to seek God’s face in humility and with pure hearts. Our focus needs to be on God Himself. Do we have hidden sins to confess? Are we stewarding our own spouses, children and responsibilities well? Lord, please make our hearts clean so You will hear our cries rise up to You. Please heal our land.

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray
and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from
Heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14 (Verse on Bible Hub)

Let’s pray to have Jesus’ heart for the lost. No matter how much someone may be grieving us with their sin in this moment, we must always remember Jesus died for this person too. He loves them so much and His heart is for us to intercede with Him for their salvation.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16 (Verse on Bible Hub)

Let’s pray to remember we are salt and light in this world. May we use words to build up and never tear down. May we live our lives for God’s glory. We do NOT know everything but we know the One Who does. Our opinions will never set anyone free.

“Do not be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear
the Lord and turn away from evil. Then you will have
healing for your body and strength for your bones.”
Proverbs 3:7-8 NLT (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Pray for us to genuinely love and honor one another, even if we don’t see eye to eye. This world is severely lacking in love, honor and respect. May we, as Believers, live our lives in such a way that unbelievers will be able to witness what true love and honor really looks like.

“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. Be
devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves.
Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the
Lord. Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”
Romans 12:9-12 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Let’s pray and stand in the gap for all first responders and health care workers. Pray for mercy for all who are lost and all who are in dire circumstances. It is a privelege to be the bridge for other souls to find Jesus. The enemy is very active in the world today but he knows his time is short. Let’s intentionally pray for God’s will and protection so we can stand firm against Satan’s plans

“I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and
stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not
have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
Ezekiel 22:30 (Verse on Bible Hub)

Let’s pray to thank God for His incredible mercy to all of us. Because we know God desires for all to be saved, my hubby and I have been praying and believing that the Holy Spirit is powerfully moving in the hearts of the lost who are dying alone from this virus.

“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, Who wants all people to be
saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God
and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:3-5 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Let’s pray for God to stand up from His throne in this hour and move mightily for our nation. Not on our behalf but for His glory. Not because we are righteous but because He is merciful. Let’s continue to keep hope alive by looking through eyes of faith despite what is happening around us.

“For I Am about to do something new. See, I have already begun!
Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness.
I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.
Isaiah 43:19 (Verse on Bible Hub)

Let’s pray for our Leaders and all who are in authority. Even if we don’t happen to like or agree with them, we must still honor their positions and pray for them to lead with godly wisdom. We can do this knowing God is the ultimate authority and will always be on the throne.

“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and
thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority,
that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.
This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved
and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one
mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:1-5 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

Let’s pray and not lose heart or let down our guard. We may not see the results of our prayers but that doesn’t mean they aren’t effective. My pastor says we don’t need to be fearful, but we need to be mindful. Let’s stay committed, vigilant and continue to seek God’s face …

“Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each
other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous
person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16 (Verse on Bible Hub)

Let’s pray for the greatest revival the world has ever known. For people everywhere to realize how parched and thirsty their souls are for their Maker. May their spirits begin to feel dis-satisfaction in chasing sin and lesser pursuits from now on. We pray they everyone will be drawn to God by His loving kindness today …

“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge
of the Holy One is understanding. For through wisdom your days
will be many, and years will be added to your life.”
Proverbs 9:10-11 NIV (Passage on Bible Gateway)

This pandemic is serious and definitely needing our prayers. I pray that it will be gone or at the least much less potent within a year.
