“I have said these things to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” John 16:33 ESV.
Hello my friend … 🌻
To live a victorious Christian life here on earth, it’s imperative we fix our eyes and minds on Christ so we can process events unfolding in this world through His filter and not our own.
When I forget to keep a biblical world view, I can very quickly find myself filled with fear and panic, anxiously wrestling with flesh and blood while engaging in battles I was never meant to fight.
We must be aware of the spiritual battles waging all around us and WHO is behind all the chaos we are experiencing in our world. Not fearful, but definitely mindful and prayerful. Remember, the battle belongs to GOD (Ex 14:14). 🙌🙌🙌
The term tribulation in our key verse comes from the Greek θλῖψις (thlipsis), which means pressure or distress. Needless to say, it’s been distressing to witness the evil rising to unprecendented levels, weakening our country’s national security and infiltrating into every area of our lives.
The enemy worked through many (spiritually lost) influensters, reporters and leaders in the media to conceal the decline in our government and justice system. This has NOT been a political battle … right vs left, Dems vs Republicans. This has been a SPIRITUAL BATTLE and Satan knows his time is drawing near.
Satan twisted God’s design for marriage, insulted the sanctity of life by pushing murder (aka abortion) as health care and a basic human right and is grooming children to bypass parental approval to receive an irreversable surgery to fix a supposed “mistake” God made when He lovingly created them in His image.
He continues to sabotage pro-life advocates but we will not forget the constitution (inc the separation of church & state) restricts government and protects the people, not the other way around!
The gaslighting has been off the charts! When Satan uses someone to groom, manipulate or control our minds to pursue their wicked agenda, it is witchcraft. The Jezebel spirit has been operating in our midst …
The enemy is on assignment to silence the ‘Saturday and Sunday People’ to make it easier for him to take the rest of this unsuspecting world to their destruction. This demonic obsession with Israel has been an ongoing spiritual battle for thousands of years. The same demons that orchestrated the Holocaust are now chanting through lost people all over this world as they rage against Israel.
What these people don’t realize is this: When we curse Israel, we put ourselves under God’s curse (Gen 12:3).
God’s heart is saddened to see the lost being used like puppets to further Satan’s agenda while being numbed/led to their own eternal destruction. What’s even sadder are the Christians who are falling away in this last hour.
God is NOT the author of the chaos in this cancel culture today (1 Cor 14:33).
Our spiritual leaders have been pointing to prophecies and the birthing pains of the end times (Matt 24). I’m so ready for Jesus to return but we need to remember we are on assignment ourselves to shine His light brightly into this deep darkness …
In the midst of all this craziness, please hear Jesus’ heart …
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have (perfect) peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous (be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy); I have overcome the world (My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding)” John 16:33 Amplified Bible.
The phrase in Me emphasizes the intimate relationship between Jesus and His followers. True peace and security are found only in the Person of Christ, as seen in John 15:4-5, where He speaks of the branches abiding in the one true Vine.
The Greek word for peace in this verse is εἰρήνη eirēnē (Strongs 1515). In the NT, eiréné denotes a state of tranquility, harmony, wholeness and well-being. It beautifully aligns with shalom (Strongs 7965) in the Hebrew, translated as peace, completeness, welfare or safety. This peace encompasses spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being.
But, to enjoy His shalom peace in our spirit, soul and body, we must have courage. The Greek word for courage in this verse is θαρσεῖτε (tharseite) and it means be of good cheer or take heart. It is His reassurance to us who are fearful or uncertain, a call to rest in Him and have confidence in His strength, not in our abilities.
This reassurance is deeply rooted in the reality of His enduring victory on the cross. The verb overcome is νενίκηκα (nenikēka), a completed action with eternal, ongoing effects. Jesus’ victory over the enemy is a done deal. His triumph is not just over the world’s political systems but over sin, death, and all the spiritual forces in the heavenlies.
Christ has overcome this world and in Him, we have a deep, abiding assurance that, despite our present struggles, our ultimate victory is secure in Him. This is a statement of profound hope/motivation for Christians to persevere on in faith.
Take heart, my friend. GOD has been on the move …
Eleven college campuses experienced revival in 2024 as thousands of Gen Z students surrendered their lives to Christ. Bible sales and Bible App downloads have exploded as people are searching for truth.
And Gather25 will be a meaningful time of prayer as the global Church comes together for 25 hours (Feb 28-Mar 1, 2025)! This is quite the opposite of what the enemy had in mind for us.
Praise God … 🙌🙌🙌
Evil is being exposed. And recently, Meta announced they were shutting down fact-checking, a system of censorship (based out of China) used to block the truth from the people (including Christian content pointing to our hope in Christ).
We are witnessing God supernaturally defend His covenant people from the hostile nations surrounding them. Ancient Scriptures point to Israel’s rightful possession of the Holy Land and God (with His angel armies) are fighting for them against all odds …
Be encouraged, dear friend. As ransomed children of the most high God, He has commanded His angel armies to guard us as well (Ps 91:11). Joy comes through believing and by believing we do enter God’s rest (Heb 4:3).
Father God, in Your mercy, help us to keep our eyes fixed on You and our thoughts firmly anchored in Your Truth. Please open the eyes of the lost souls trapped in darkness and help them see their need for Your saving grace today. The battle belongs to You, GOD, and hell has already been defeated! We will worship You through whatever comes our way until You achieve the victory that is already Yours. In Jesus’ name … 🙌🙌🙌
Please let let me know if YOU need prayer as well …

Thank you for reminding us who sits on the throne in these perilous times! The Prince of Peace. He is preparing his bride for his return. In the meantime, may we prepare ourselves to be ready when he calls us. May we serve him with faith as we minister truth to those who don’t know him as their Lord and Savior.
John 16:33 is our family memory verse this week! This is just perfect, Donna! I’m going to do a deep dive with the kids later this week from this post! Your words are bearing fruit! Thank you!!!!
