Such a sweet book! Blythe and Calyn have provided opportunities throughout this book for your Tween to write her thoughts and prayers for her friends.
There’s a section in each devo called “Words for You” with questions to ponder and a prayer. Here is an excerpt from Chapter Four on Rejection …
WORDS FOR YOU: Even though it hurts to be rejected, God will show you who your real, true friends are, and be with you when it’s time for new friends who will support and love you for who you are. Sometimes the best friend for you is waiting on the other side of rejection you have faced. How can I find new friends? How will I treat my old friends? I will pray for those who have hurt me rather than speak against them.
Lord, I pray for the friend who spoke words that hurt me. I pray that you would draw her to yourself. I want her to see that you are loving and kind and she doesn’t need to use words that put down other people. I pray that you would bring friends into my life who are faithful to you and to me and who would share my values. Most of all, I want to have friendships that are strong and will last, and I ask you to help me see who those friends are. Amen.
Here is an excerpt (Scripture Verse and Words for You) in Chapter 6: What Friends Show You About Yourself …
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. Colossians 3:13 NIV
WORDS FOR YOU When friendships get hard, you can know that you have the opportunity to find who you are in Christ. His truth will help you find who your true friends are. True friends will treat you the way you treat them, with kindness and loyalty. You will learn more about who you are by the friends you’re with. Who are people who are different from me? Are my current friends actually listening to me? Would my current friends accept me for who I am?

I have three lovely daughters and all three would be blessed by some good, girl-focused, biblical teaching on friendship! We would love to receive a copy of this book to read together!
Love this book and I wish I would of read it as a tween.
What a wonderful resource! It is so neat to see mothers and daughters teaming up to write devotionals! Impressive!
Sounds wonderful. I have a 12 year old daughter who this book would be perfect for. Thanks for sharing!
This is such an important topic! So glad this resource exists! Thanks for sharing it!
I’m so excited that this book is on sale! I remember reading that they were working on it last year, and, since Bekah and I write together too, Blythe and I even talked about connecting with our girls. I’m going to grab a copy of this and pray about creative ways to partner with this wonderful mother-daughter duo!
