In the Beatitudes, Jesus revealed the eight blessings connected with the attitudes and qualities that are highly valued in the Kingdom of Heaven (Matt 5:3-10 NIV). The word Beatitudes is derived from the Latin for Beatus, which means blessed.

Jesus Says You Are Blessed

Have you ever needed someone to help you?
Well, Jesus has wonderful news for you!

When we know that we need God, Jesus says we are blessed!
You don’t have to be the smartest, strongest, or most talented kid.
Jesus just wants your heart! He longs to hear you say: “Lord, I need You.”

God isn’t looking for perfect children. He’s looking for children who trust Him.

When you’re afraid, you can pray.
When you’re sad, you can talk to Jesus.
When you don’t know what to do, you can ask God for wisdom.

When we depend on Jesus, we belong to His Kingdom.
That’s an amazing promise, isn’t it?

So today, remember this:

God loves to help His little children.
You will never have to face life alone.
Every prayer you whisper matters a lot to Him.
Jesus is always with you, guiding, comforting, and loving you.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust Him with your whole heart, and know that you are deeply loved by your Heavenly Father.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me so much. Help me remember that I can trust You and I can bring You everything that is in my heart. Thank You for welcoming me into Your kingdom. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matt 5:4)

Jesus Will Comfort You

Have you ever felt sad?

Maybe you lost a favorite toy, had a bad day at school, argued with a friend or missed someone you love very much.

Sometimes our hearts hurt and that’s okay. Your tears are prayers, too. Did you know God collects every one of your tear drops in His little bottle in Heaven?

When you’re sad, you’re not alone. Jesus sees every tear, hears every prayer and stays very close to you. He loves you so much and wants to comfort you.

Jesus wraps His love around your heart like a warm hug from a loving parent.
He gives you peace when you’re worried, hope when you’re discouraged and
joy when you’re sad. His love helps you feel safe when you’re afraid.

You don’t have to pretend you’re happy all the time. Jesus is a good listener and you can tell Him exactly how you feel because He cares about you.

When you’re sad, remember:

Jesus is always with you.
He knows why you’re crying.
He listens when you pray.
His love is bigger than any hurt.
He will help your heart feel strong again.

No matter what happens today, Jesus is holding your hand and walking beside you. He will never leave you and His love for you will never end.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me so much. When I feel sad, help me remember You are right beside me. Thank You for comforting me, giving me peace, and filling my heart with hope. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.” (Matthew 5:5)

Gentle Hearts Shine For Jesus

Have you ever wanted your own way? To be first in line or win every game?

We all feel that way at times. But Jesus says we’re blessed when we’re meek.

What does “meek” mean? It does not mean we have to be weak. We are meek when we choose to be gentle, kind, patient, and humble, even when it’s hard. It means trusting God instead of trying to make everything happen your own way.

A gentle heart is a strong heart because it chooses love.

When you share your toys, speak kindly to a friend or forgive someone who hurt your feelings … you are showing them the gentle love of Jesus!

God smiles when His children choose kindness instead of anger and love instead of selfishness.

Today, ask Jesus to help your heart become more like His.

Remember:

A humble heart pleases God.
Gentle words and kind hands help others.
Jesus is helping you grow to be more like Him every day.
God’s blessings are for those who trust Him and walk in His ways.

Every time you choose gentleness, you are shining the sweet light of Jesus for the whole world to see!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for showing me how to be gentle and kind. Help me to be patient, share with others, and treat everyone with love. Thank You for being with me and helping me make good choices. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matt 5:6)

Hungry For More Of God

Have you ever been really, really hungry?

Maybe your tummy rumbled before dinner, and you couldn’t wait to eat! When we’re hungry, we look forward to good food that fills us up.

But, Jesus said there is something even more important to be hungry for. He wants us to be hungry for Him more than anything else in this world! When we spend time with Jesus, read our Bible and pray, our hearts grow stronger.

Just like healthy food helps your body grow, God’s Word helps your heart grow.

The wonderful promise in this verse is God will fill your heart when you seek Him. He gives us His love, His peace, His joy, and the strength to do what is right every day.

Remember:

Jesus loves it when you’re hungry to know Him more.
He will fill your heart with His love when you seek Him.
God’s Word is good food for your heart and soul.
You can ask God to help you do what is right.

So today, let your greatest desire be to know Jesus and follow Him. He is the best Friend you will ever have and He will help you grow into the person God created you to be!

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me so much. Help me learn from Your Word, make wise choices, and show Your love to others. Thank You for filling my heart with Your joy and peace. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” (Matt 5:7)

Show Mercy Like Jesus

Have you ever made a mistake? Maybe you said something unkind, forgot to do your chores or accidentally hurt someone’s feelings.

We all make mistakes sometimes. But guess what? Jesus loves us even when we make mistakes! He forgives us and shows us mercy when we tell Him we’re sorry and ask Him to help us do better.

Jesus wants us to give mercy to others, too. With His help, we can give kindness, forgiveness, patience and love to others even when it’s hard.

When a friend says they’re sorry, you can forgive them.
When someone is lonely, you can invite them to play.
When someone falls down, you can help them up.

When you choose kindness instead of anger, you are showing the love of Jesus!

Jesus is full of mercy. He is patient with us, helps us when we struggle, and never stops loving us. Because He has shown us such great mercy, we can share that same mercy with everyone around us.

Remember:

Jesus forgives you because He loves you very much.
When you forgive others, it makes your heart peaceful.
Every act of mercy points people to Jesus and His love.

Today, ask Jesus to help you have a heart that is quick to forgive and full of love.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for showing me mercy every day. Thank You for forgiving me and loving me so much. Please help me be kind, forgive others, and care for people the way You do. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.” (Matt 5:8)

A Heart That Loves Jesus

Have you ever looked through a clean window?

When the window is clean, you can see everything clearly.
But if it’s dirty, it’s hard to see what’s on the other side.

Jesus says our hearts can be like that too!
So, what does it mean to have a pure heart?

A pure heart is a heart that loves Jesus and wants to please Him. It means being honest and choosing what’s right even when no one else is watching.

When you tell the truth, obey your parents, choose kindness, pray and read God’s word … your heart grows closer to Jesus.

And if you ever make a wrong choice, don’t be afraid. You can ask Jesus to forgive you, and He will! He loves to clean our hearts so we can try again.

Remember:

Jesus cares about your heart.
God loves your honesty and kindness.
You can always ask Jesus to help you make good choices.
Every day is a brand new chance to grow closer to Him.

When you follow Jesus, you learn to see His love and His goodness all around you. A heart that loves Jesus shines brightly for everyone to see! As you spend time with Him each day, He helps you become more joyful, peaceful, and kind.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, please help me to be honest, kind, and loving. When I make a mistake, please forgive me and help me start over again. Help my life shine with Your love so others can see You through me. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God. (Matt 5:9)

Be A Peacemaker For Jesus

Have you ever seen two friends arguing?
Arguments can make our hearts feel sad.
But, Jesus teaches us a better way …

A peacemaker is someone who helps bring love instead of anger, kindness instead of unkind words, and forgiveness instead of holding a grudge.

You can be a peacemaker when you:

Use gentle and kind words.
Say, “I’m sorry,” when you’ve done something wrong.
Forgive someone who hurt your feelings.
Help others work together instead of arguing.

Every time you choose peace, you’re acting more like Jesus!

Remember:

Kind words can calm an angry moment.
Forgiveness helps friendships grow.
Your actions can show others the love of God.

Today, ask Jesus to help you be someone who brings peace wherever you go. Your kindness can make a big difference and your gentle heart can help others see the love of Jesus.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for loving me and filling my heart with Your love. Let my words and actions show Your love to everyone I meet. Thank You for helping me become more like You every day. I love You, Jesus. Amen.

“Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matt 5:10)

Jesus Helps You To Be Brave

Have you ever done the right thing even when it was very hard?

Maybe you told the truth when you could have lied. Maybe you chose to be kind when others were being mean. Or maybe you prayed before lunch at school even though you felt a little nervous. Jesus sees every brave choice you make!

Sometimes, when we choose to follow Jesus and do what is right, not everyone will understand. But Jesus says we are blessed when we stay faithful to Him.

Being brave for Jesus doesn’t mean we have to be loud or argue with people. It means we keep loving them, telling them the truth, being kind, and trusting God, even when it’s difficult.

Remember:

Jesus is always with you.
God is proud of you when you choose to do what is right.
You never stand alone because Jesus walks beside you.
Your kindness can help others learn about God’s love.
Every time you follow Jesus, your little light shines brightly for Him.

You may be small, but God can use you in BIG ways! A loving smile, an honest answer, a helping hand, or a gentle prayer can show others the love of Jesus.

So don’t be afraid to follow Him. Jesus is your Good Shepherd, your best Friend, and your forever Savior. He will give you courage and strength every single day.

Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me choose kindness, tell the truth, and follow You every day. When I’m afraid, I know You will help me to be brave. Thank You for helping me to shine Your light wherever I go. I love You, Jesus. Amen.
