Reading Time: 6 minutesHello Friend!🌻I love this time of year, don’t you? Many of us are pausing to count our blessings as we gather cherished recipes for the Holidays. I asked God to help me put together a recipe for a thankful heart, with powerful ingredients that will nourish, edify and sustain us in the new year. And He gave me the following …
A girl needs Grit and Grace to run this race of faith well.
GRIT …
To be herself and rebel against the cultural standards of beauty and strength. Childlike faith to enjoy being who God says she is. Hope to rise above the paralyzing pain of disappointments. Faith the size of a mustard seed so she can take God at His Word and boldly move forward when He calls her to. A brave heart to set aside all lies, entanglements and distractions that would imprison her. Courage to forgive unconditionally so she can get unstuck. But at the same time, learn to build healthy boundaries so she can live free. To possess a bulldog tenacity to run her race well with courage and determination.
Most of all … to NEVER GIVE UP!
Then there is GRACE. She needs lots of grace to ENABLE her grit, amen? Flowing in God’s grace requires her to receive it, live it and freely give it away. Dance with Jesus and let Him lead. Flow in His Holy Spirit strength in all she thinks, speaks and does. Be ok in her weakness so He can be made strong in her life. In Jesus, she will discover her true identity, purpose and the strength to live her story the way He dreamed it to be for her.
We are praying for you to never give up, sweet friend!
