For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Eph 2:10 NLT
Did you know GOD lovingly and very intentionally created YOU in His image? He makes NO mistakes, therefore you’re NOT an accident, an oops or an afterthought.
Everything about you … your gender, your skin tone, the color of your hair and eyes, your dimples, your voice and your smile were bestowed on you by God. Our loving Creator designed you to be His little image bearer. When He made you, He joyfully declared His creation was very good (Gen 1:31).
Yes, God delights in YOU as HIS very own unique masterpiece.
So why do we struggle to feel like His masterpiece?
Because He’s not finished with us yet! 🩷
We are His ongoing Masterpiece, His workmanship (ESV, KJV), His handiwork (NIV). The final piece of the puzzle will not be put into place until after Jesus takes us home.
As Paul states in Eph 2:10, God created us to do the good things He planned for us long ago! We are created in Christ to walk in a very specific calling, all for His glory.
Then in Phil 1:6, Paul says: We can be certain that God, who began the good work within us, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
God told the prophet Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations (Jer 1:5)”
Before God formed YOU in your mother’s womb …
- He knew you!
- He set you apart!
- He appointed you!
God commands us to love Him with all of our heart, all of our soul, all of our mind and all of our strength and to love our neighbors as we love ourselves (Mark 12:30-31).
Next, we are commissioned to share Christ’s love …
God lovingly bestowed upon each of us different spiritual gifts, dreams, visions, skill-sets, giftings & talents so we, through His Spirit, can share Christ and bring Him glory in a myriad of beautiful, creative ways during our lifetime here on earth.
Our life purpose is to bring God glory …
- Go into all the world and make disciples (Matt 28:19-20).
- Share the gospel of good news with all the world (Mark 16:15).
- Invite everyone to the party so His House will be filled (Luke 14:23).
We didn’t choose God but He chose us and appointed us so we might go and bear fruit that will last (John 15:16).
Satan will tell you a very different story for his own evil purposes. One of his biggest lies is God made a huge mistake when He created us male and female in His image so we need to mutilate our bodies to fix this supposed mistake.
Only Satan would steal your identity, kill your purpose and destroy your life like this.
Remember …
GOD chose you. He redeemed you. He calls you by name. YOU are HIS (Isaiah 43:1).
I pray you will receive this truth today so you can begin to thrive from this restful place of already being fully loved and accepted in Him. I created the coloring pages below to help you spend time meditating on some life giving verses to bless you and help remind you that you belong exclusively to God.
Live fully loved in Christ …

“Only Satan would steal your identity, kill your purpose and destroy your life like this.” And I totally agree. Satan tries to make us believe that we are not who God has created us to me. Thank God for Christ who opens our eyes and heart to see who we are in God. I am God’s master piece. Glory to God!
Amen!! 🙌🙌🙌
