God Really Does Care About You

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through the rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you Isaiah 43:2 NLT.

The Thrill of Hope, the Weary World Rejoices | God Really Does Care About You

God Really Does Care About YouThis is the time of year when many of us are filled with happiness, joy and the spirit of giving. I love all the Christmas lights, trees, wreaths and creative decorations and the kindness most people put forward during the month of December. But this is not true for everyone. Some are filled with grief, sadness and hopelessness.

How true this is for moms who watch as their children struggle with drug and alcohol addictions. The pain is too intense and they constantly have to let go, and let go some more, and continue to let go as their hearts are weighed down with anxiety and grief.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy” Psalm 94:19 NIV.

Call upon Him.  He will console you. God Really Does Care About You …

Some of you are facing your first holiday season without a loved one whom was a major part of your life, maybe even on an everyday basis and the hole and emptiness in your heart is enormous to the degree that it feels like it will explode. Or it may be that you don’t feel anything at all, you’re completely numb.

God Really Does Care About YouMany of you are so alone with no friends or family and seeing people filled with excitement pounds that pain deeper into your heart.

Maybe you do have family but you’re dealing with ultimate rejection because you’re not good enough and never will be.

Whatever pain you’re struggling with, you sometimes wonder how much longer you’ll be able to carry on. And, how I do understand. But more importantly is that God Himself understands.

Yes, He really does understand. God Really Does Care About You …

God knows grief, heartache and rejection just like we do.

Try to think back to a time when you WERE happy and filled with joy. Don’t continue reading on until you’ve done so. You might have to go way back, way, way back. Keep going. Don’t stop now. Go back, back, back until you’ve remembered that time when you felt happy. Do you feel it yet? It’s so wonderful, isn’t it?

Now imagine with me for a moment: God the Father and His Son are in heaven in complete perfectness; complete holiness, joy, peace, and contentment. Together they decide that in order to save mankind, (you and me), Jesus would have to leave that perfectness, be born of a woman and walk this earth fully human just like us.

Wow!

How many of us would go to that extreme, even if we could, for someone else?

John 3:16 tells us …

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (ESV).

God Really Does Care About YouThis is how much the Lord loves and cares for us. Becoming just like us, He experienced hate, ridicule, grief, sadness and rejection to the fullest. And when the time came for him to die on the cross, God had to look away. Not because Jesus did anything wrong or wasn’t good enough but because Jesus bore every single one of our sins and God couldn’t look upon all that sin.

God Really Does Care About You …

It’s so surreal and can be very difficult to understand. We most likely never will fully understand in our minds, but we do reach the place of knowing in our hearts and that keeps us moving forward in our walk with him.

Recently, I learned that one of the greatest stars in heaven is the Betelgeuse. It’s the upper left hand corner star in the constellation of Orian. It can be seen in the winter sky at night because it has a reddish hue to it. As a matter of fact, Betelgeuse is so huge, if you were to put the center of it on our sun, the outside of that star would touch the earth. This is just one star of many star clusters in the heavens.

Not only has God strategically placed each star in place, He knows each one by name …

“Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing” Isaiah 40:26 (NIV).

There are approximately 200 billion trillion stars in the universe and yet, God knows EACH ONE by name. If he personally knows each and every star, how much more does He know and care for each one of us?

Yes, God Really Does Care About You …

He knows you by name. Yes! YOU! That is a very personal attribute of our God. If he knows your name, trust me, he knows you entirely. He knows your heart. He sees your pain. He sees your confusion. He sees the loneliness. He sees the rejection.

He knows you feel unloved, unwanted, and unseen by others. People will let you down, but God won’t.

Numbers 23:19 tells us …“God is not a human being. He does not change his mind. What he says he will do, he does. What he promises, he keeps” (ICB).

God promises that He is always with you, loves you and really does care about you …

Zephaniah 3:17 promises … “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty One who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by his love; He will exult over you with loud singing” (ESV).
Isaiah 41:10 further promises … “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (ESV).

God promises that he will never forget you; even when your parents do.

Through Isaiah 49:15, the Lord declares: “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you” (NIV).

Please don’t give up. Call out to God. He is there in your midst.

Hope is a Person and His Name is Jesus. He is Emmanuel … which means God with us.

My God, my King, my Savior, I call upon you for every person who at this very moment is so devastated, they can’t see past it. They can’t see past the pain. They can’t see past the rejection. It’s not that they don’t want to, but they literally can’t. You know this about them. They are not unseen by you. I ask that right now you would pour your love down upon them and surround them with it. They need to feel you, Lord. I know you love them. You know you love them. THEY need to know you love them. THEY need to know you genuinely do care about and for them. I ask this in Jesus’ precious name.

Thank you, Father! 💗💗

God bless us all this Christmas …
